Dear Clinical Partners,

 

We hope this email finds you safe and healthy amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The Ohio Kentucky consortium appreciates the challenges you and your colleagues are experiencing in the current health care environment. As your academic partners, we understand that you may not have had time to consider the 2021 Clinical Education Experience Request Form (March mailer). With the deadline of April 30th around the corner and the stability of our clinical environment still volatile, the consensus of our Consortium is to propose an extension on the return of those requests to mid to late May.

 

As a result of temporary curricular changes that may affect programs for several months, the academic programs want to make sure you know that we will likely be delayed in completing placement matching but we have agreed to make every effort to provide sites with student names or a release of an offered slot by end of the 2020 calendar year. Likewise, depending on the state of health care, institutional guidelines, and government guidelines related to COVID-19, some programs may need to adjust their clinical education experience dates for 2021. If this occurs, we are committed to communicating this to each other and our clinical partners in a timely manner.
