PT Education Leadership Conference and Clinical Education Summit- 2014
Be sure to hold the dates of October 10, 11, 12, 13 in Kansas City, MO.
The Education Leadership Conference is for both academic and clinical educators.
There are presentations on a variety of topics related to advancing PT Education and Clinical Education.
This is also a time that the Clinical Education Special Interest Group meets.
The goal of the Clinical Education Summit will be to take the positions from the position papers as they have been shaped through webinar discussions and other forums to reach agreement around recommendations for best practices for clinical education. Recommendations formulated during the Summit will then be taken forward to the appropriate body (ACAPT, the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT), etc.) for approval with continued discussion as needed. Institutions who are members of ACAPT will be allowed to send two representatives to the Summit who will share a single vote representing their institution. In addition, other critical stakeholders (clinicians, other disciplines, payers, etc.) will be present to participate and offer input into the discussions.
